Ohhhhhhhhh!
A stranger … From the outside!!
For as long as I could remember, my favorite movie growing up was Toy Story. As a kid, I always loved my toys/stuffed animals, but when Toy Story came around, toys took on a different meaning. When my parents gifted me a Woody and Buzz Lightyear toy, I was on top of the world! I would pull Woody’s string and hear him say he had a snake in his boot 100 times a day. Woody would hang with the stuffed animals in bed, while Buzz would keep lookout on the shelf.
Toy Story was truly iconic. I mean think about it… who didn’t want to eat at Pizza Planet! Between the pizza and the arcade games…. Speaking of… THE CLAWWWWWWWWWW! Those little aliens use to scare me as a kid, but there was something about them I always loved. Pixar always made their characters so intriguing and easy to love!
I’m really digging the way these colors pop off this canvas! More specifically, my favorite part is where the Pizza Planet logo goes on the little green man - there’s a few bits of yellow that really hit the mark. I had a little more fun with this piece than I usually do, and the colors were very fun to mesh together. Take a look at some of the process photos from this painting below.
